Those are all side effects of the birth control pill, regardless of the version of the pill you are on. The weight gain should not be constant. You should only have it while your body is adjusting to the pill %26amp; then it will level off. The hair loss should abate as well, though if it doesn't, go see your doctor. Birth control pills can mess with your thyroid %26amp; that will cause hair loss. The dark spots on your skin are called melasma (pregnancy mask) and I didn't have them until I was pregnant with my first son, but going back on the pill after having my sons has made mine darker.
